Symposiums are a form of discussion between a number of experts in a field and are led by a moderator.

The Palm Springs Photo Festival presents an important symposium for all attendees each day.  We organize the programs to bring together important and influential panelists from throughout the country to discuss issues of great interest / importance to emerging and professional photographers.  

All Attendees are invited to attend these important discussions each day.

MONDAY: THE BUSINESS OF FINE ART

THURSDAY: JAY MYSELF: A Film by Stephen Wilkes

 

The first public showing in California of a heartfelt and truly amazing film by celebrated photographer Stephen Wilkes about his mentor and friend, Jay Maisel.

Our symposiums take place each day (Monday, May 6th  – Thursday, May 9th) between 5:00pm and 6:30pm.  in the Annenberg Theatre of the Palm Springs Art Museum.

All four Symposiums are FREE to all festival badgeholders and are preceded by refreshments, served from 4:00 – 5:00pm in the museum Elrod Sculpture garden adjacent to the Annenberg Theater.

A daily registration fee is required to attend each day of Symposiums.
