Demystifying Color Management with R. MAC HOLBERT

Monday, May 6th, 2018 10:45am – 12:30pm

Is color management confusing? Let R. Mac Holbert explain it’s importance in creating high-quality prints. He will walk you through the implementation of a color managed workflow in easy to understand language and visuals that will empower amateurs as well as advanced printmakers. You’ll learn the differences and subtleties between Adobe RGB, SRGB, ProPhoto RGB and Color Match RGB. You’ll see in 3-D how each affects what you can see on your monitor, and what you can print with your ink-jet printers. You’ll see how to select the correct settings to maximize the control over your printing and image management.

Using the right color space, profiles for your printer and calibrating your monitor will assure you complete control over your digital printing. This is the core of being able to master printing digitally. No matter how proficient you are in your workflow, the knowledge gained here will help demystify the process and give you absolute understanding and control over the process of making digital fine prints.
