Beautifully Crafted in France Since 1557

For more than 450 years, Canson® has invited artists, amateurs and professionals to freely express their creativity on exceptional papers. In 2008, Canson developed the Canson Infinity range for photographers and print makers with the highest expectations. Since the creation of Canson the company has maintained a strong relationship with their end-users and innovative uses for paper, which has kept Canson at the forefront of many inventions (the hot air balloon, tracing paper, pulp dye (color) paper, fine textured vellum paper…). Canson retains this spirit of innovation by combining centuries of papermaking experience, innovation and technically advanced coatings to produce the new benchmark for today’s demanding fine art photography and archival print reproduction marketplace. This perfectly responds to the artist’s needs by designing a very broad range of media adapted to all forms of artistic expression. The superior sophistication and innovation of the Digital Fine Art and Photo Range reflects the very high expectations of Canson in regards to the quality of its products.

A cornerstone of photography for over 150 years

1865, Canson was granted a patent for a system that simplified the photo printing process and improved the quality of black tones whilst making it less expensive, winning awards at the International Photography Exhibition of 1892.

Digital Fine Art Paper Manufacturer, Canson is one of the few paper manufacturers that actually operate their own paper mills to ensure the utmost quality and the very best consistency.
