Ten years ago, Carol Henry turned to curating and advancing the work of women in photography is of a particular interest. She was formerly the fine print specialist for Ansel Adams signed originals, representing the Ansel Adams Gallery. For the past 3 years she has been the gallery director at Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, CA. In 2012 she co-founded Carmel Visual Arts in Carmel, CA. A particular favorite project was the independent curation of, She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not featuring the work of twelve female photographers photographing men. This not only included her work but also original photographs of Edna Bullock, Martha Casanave, Jodi Cobb, Imogen Cunningham, Judy Dater, Flor Garduño, Dorothea Lange, Mary Ellen Mark, Holly Roberts, Adrienne Salinger and Joyce Tenneson. The exhibition premiered in 2017 at Center for Photographic Art and was also exhibited at Florida Museum of Photographic Art.
